I could be misremembering, but Far Song is a bow only available from the smith (after Owen) in Redcliffe.



The way I've gotten it may not be the only way, but it worked. It is only available from the smith who takes over Owen's place after he commits suicide.



Owen is drunk when you arrive an Redcliffe and the mayor Murdock asks you to convince him to help repair the militia gear before the walking dead from Redcliffe castle attack that night. Owen will demand a promise from you to find his daughter in the castle before he will do the repairs. Go ahead and promise him.



All you have to do at this point is NOT find his daughter after the attack on the town. Go on up to the castle, and complete your other quests. If you find the girl huddled in the back room, leave her alone. I think if you talk to her her and don't take her back you might get some negative relationship points from some companions.



After you return to town, continue on with the Arl of Redcliffe quests, mage's circle and so on - maybe you just need to tell him you couldn't find her. Visit later and the smith will have killed himself. Buy the bow from the new smith.In Dragon Age Origins How do i get the Far Song bow?
There is no way to buy the bow. The only way to aquire the Farsong Bow is to loot it from a small boss while doing the main quest in the Elven Alienage.
