In Dragon Age Origins, what does the starved veteran do?

I gave the veteran and his 'friends' money repeatedly and just wondered if anything would happen because of it. Thanks in advance.In Dragon Age Origins, what does the starved veteran do?
Nothing really happens, it's just a gag. Each time you give him money he will show up with more and more "friends" looking for a handout.In Dragon Age Origins, what does the starved veteran do?
i have gotta just as far with it as the others who answered. i have him money, then him and his friend, then him and the group, then when there were more and they asked again, i said no and they disappeared.

im not sure but it got to a point where there were a whole group asking for money so i just told them no since it seemed they were just taking advantage of my generosity. but nothing happens. they just up and leave once u say no. but then again with the different dialogues, who knows. i cant remember too well since its been awhile for me.
