Is there a lot of difference between Dragon age: Origins on Xbox 360 and PC?

I've played the xbox 360 version many times, but I was wondering if the PC version is any different? Thanks (:Is there a lot of difference between Dragon age: Origins on Xbox 360 and PC?
The PC version is a ton more difficult. you would find yourself pausing the game to make a tactical decision or spell a lot more. IMO this is the way Dragon Age is meant to be played.

I cant decide bewteen Dragon Age Origins or Demon's Souls. Read details of why it is so hard.?

Well Dragon Age Origins has a long gameplay, something i love about it, and bioware. Also it is not that depenable on online, which i dont have. Demon's Souls is hard, which i like, but i dont have online which online makes the gaming experiance so much better, or does it? PLease please help me in this perdicament.I cant decide bewteen Dragon Age Origins or Demon's Souls. Read details of why it is so hard.?
Demon's Souls in my opinion is better the DAO. It actually has a HUGE amount of gameplay it takes about 80 hours to complete everything and im not lying It took me about 4 hours to complete the tutorial and then you can create another class and see what tha class i like it really has an infinite amount of gameplay but then without online I dont think its worth it it just gives it so much more thrill like when the message pops up Black Phantom ******* has invaded your realm! Then you start going on defensive and knowing you lose all of your money and progress makes it more thrilling. Also online its easier to gain your soul back once you have died. If you wont ever go online I say DAO but if you will get Demon's Souls for sure

Dragon age origins what do you think of hexes spells AND are they effective with AI?

i would like to upgrade Morrigan with this school. 3rd and 4th tier of hexes sound very nice, should they work on bossesDragon age origins what do you think of hexes spells AND are they effective with AI?
The hexes, especially the one that makes normal hits on the target critical hits are quite useful. Set her AI to debilitator and use your melee guys to anhiliate.

My first playthough was with a mage, and I focused on pure destructive power and let Morrigan handle debuffs/crowd control. Spell might + blizzard + tempest = Storm of the Century. MAJOR damage. It has a very wide AoE so keep your team far back or wait until they are already down.

  • Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?

It's either flames or some kind of aura. How the hell do I get rid of it?Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?
Some sustained abilities have their visual effects even out of combat. There's two solutions: turn off the sustained abilities outside of combat, or install a mod. If you choose the former, keep in mind you can set the activation of a sustained ability as a tactic. If you set the trigger to "Any", then they will turn on that ability as soon as enemies approach. If you want to install a mod, head over to http://www.dragonaxenexus.com/Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?
Go through your party turning off their sustained abilities, so that you loose their bonuses as well. You may also have to change the characters tactics so they won't activate the sustained ability and give you the bonuses.

Who here really like Dragon Age Origins?

I asked this question on the Steam site but they are all a bunch of ******* over there who only ***** about stuff. So I will ask you here, not including the expansions or anything like that but the main game itself who found it a good game or bad game and why?Who here really like Dragon Age Origins?
honestly i really enjoyed it i did buy all of the dlc besides the expansion atm. It had a good plot and isn't too ridiculously hard unlike divinity 2 but that's a whole other story. sure the graphics weren't too good granted but i thought the amount of freedom while still linear made the game also fun. Now i just need to get the expansion and then the 2nd one went it comes out.

Also the 2nd dragon age is totally going to blow people away that's just my opinion at the moment.Who here really like Dragon Age Origins?
i have already played through it twice. its a really fun game with a good story. i enjoy the different class and though the graphics were good. im thinking if i should play it a third time with the class i havent used yet.

cant wait for the sencond one to come out.

Are Fable 2 and Dragon Age Origins anythings like Oblivion?

i like fallout 3 and oblivions game engine..and i want something like that..are those 2 games anythings like that. if not...which of the 2 should i get?Are Fable 2 and Dragon Age Origins anythings like Oblivion?
    Yes.

You really ought to get both. Oblivion and Fallout both had a lot of repetitive side quests. Fable 2 has really interesting side quests and main storyline and the clothes, relationships, artwork, and items are really cool. There are a lot of little humorous bits in that game that you constantly come across, too. You can't personalize your avatar, though, only make it a guy or a girl in the beginning. You can, however, change and dye clothes and hair and put on different makeup, facial hair, and hair styles anytime you want during game play. I greatly enjoyed being able to change up my character and not always stare at the same hairstyle and makeup.

The plot in Dragon Age is phenomenal and you can choose from 6 different origin stories and there are several endings. You also have tons of different skills, specializations, items, and abilities that you can choose from. You can play Dragon Age through many times, because every decision you make can change the game play for you significantly, even the ones you make on side quests.

You can fully customize your avatar and choose to be either a dwarf, human or noble. You can't change what they look like once you start the game. You can only change clothes and they don't have that many great options in the game. Dragon Age allows you to control your avatar, as well as 3 of your party members. This makes for some really cool tactical advantages when doing battle. For instance, you can order all your party members to attack one enemy. You could select the mage to do a spell and while she does that you move on to your warrior and select a skill and then order your dog to do "dread howl" , while you paralyze your enemy with one of your talents. It is a lot of fun.

Mass Effect was the game that made me a gamer and it was made by bioware, just like Dragon Age. It is very similar. You should look into that one, too. Mass Effect 2 comes out soon!

I am in love with Dragon Age right now and will be playing it through many times. If you can only buy one, I guess I'd say go with Dragon Age, although Fable 2 is likely being sold used now, so you can get it at a discount. You really should own both if you love RPGs.
The concept is the same but they do play alittle different. I have played all of those games and i really liked all of them. fable and dragon age are in third person view so you dont have as much control over your person as in oblivion but still loads of fun. But if i had to pick, i would say get Dragon Age, p.s. i heard that in less than a year Fable 3 will be out.Are Fable 2 and Dragon Age Origins anythings like Oblivion?
dragon age has a strategy control(wow, aion)(or should i say time step gameplay) (nothing like fable or oblivion) if you played neverwinter night 2 its almost the same thing.
No not even close! the only thing that is same is that they both are RPG!

Thoe Oblivion is an first person rpg!Are Fable 2 and Dragon Age Origins anythings like Oblivion?
    Just get Dragon Age.
Dragon age looks like a mix of oblivion and fabel is from what ive seen

Which game is better and what i should i get between dragon age origins or dragon age 2?

Hello i was wondoring which game should i get between these 2 because i can only afford one game and was wondoring which is the best game i should get because i heard both of these games are goodWhich game is better and what i should i get between dragon age origins or dragon age 2?
The majority says Origins is better because of its more detailed skill trees and epic storyline. I think Dragon Age II is much better because of its better characters and more personal and mature storyline revolving around political conflicts.

But you should probably start with Origins. It's cheaper, longer and introduces some key concepts that are vital in Dragon Age II (qunari, Circle of Magi).Which game is better and what i should i get between dragon age origins or dragon age 2?
yeah even though dragon age 2 is alot better, if you dont get orgins then you wont fully get everything in the second one. http://www.justgameblogger.com/Which game is better and what i should i get between dragon age origins or dragon age 2?
Get Origins complete it and all its DLC then get DA2

How to kill flemeth on Dragon Age: Origins?

So I'm a level 9 Dual Weapon Ranger Rogue, and I have Sten, Wynne, Shale, My Dog, Alistair, Zevran and Leiliana all available to fight Flemeth (Morrigan obviously can't come), and every time I try to kill her all my party gets killed in an instant, hardly taking away any of her health, it seems pretty much impossible, is there a way I can kill her? Or will I need to level up more? How to kill flemeth on Dragon Age: Origins?
Have Sten use the sword Yusaris it has something like 10 attack against dragons. Also if you have the DLC return to Ostagar and got Duncan's dagger use it it also has like 10 attack against dragons. Get the drake scale armor made by Wade for yourself, if you have the blood dragon armor put it on alistair or sten, and if you defeated the dragon in the urn of sacred ashes quest and got the armor made by Wade have sten or alistair wear it (all these have fire resistance) Get what weapons that can be enchanted with runes that do cold damage and get other accessories that deal cold damage or give fire resistance equipped on everyone. Also you should have Wynne learn the cold spells and you can always put it on an easier level just for the fight. Oh and of course stock up on health and Lyrium polstices. Good luckHow to kill flemeth on Dragon Age: Origins?
You may want to attempt this around 16+. Just play the game, level up and come back later when you're near the end of the game like before or after Landsmeet. When you do fight her at an appropriate level, bring 2 tanks and a healer and try to get equips for resistance. How to kill flemeth on Dragon Age: Origins?
You have it right, level up. You should be tryin this much closer to end game. This is one of the hardest fights in DA. Anything less than lvl 20 will not do. Even then, it is hard.

  • Dragon age origins help picking class?

On dragon age origins I sort of narrowed down my choices I like warrior for the great armour and that nearly decided it for me but then I realised everyone said not to be them because there are so many other warrior choices and be missing out on cool other characters but really I wanted a warrior That could look how I wanted and then there's rogue I love but they can't where my favourite armour and please not Mage please answer more than once.Dragon age origins help picking class?
i went rouge and im quite happy with my decision
I played first as a Human Warrior with a Human Noble background, and I beat it, and now I'm playing as a Elven Mage. Anyway, most Dragon Age Origins games come with two DLC that lets you get Shale *Strongest in the game* and the Dragon Blood Plate which unlocks the other pieces as well, which when you wield all of them, it gives you a boost in Defense. These two are worth it, instead of giving it to other characters, you could wield it yourself, which makes you invincible toward enemies if you focus on getting your strength to 42, and it will come in handy throughout the entire game. Anyway, they have a character called Leliana which you can use her to unlock chests and pick locks on doors, just be whoever you choose.Dragon age origins help picking class?
Just pick your favorite class. If you decide you hate it later, you can always change!

Also, I wouldn't suggest picking a class just due to "Ooh that golden armour is so shiny!" - Obviously it's acceptable if you prefer a particular class of armour, heavy for instance, but you shouldn't pick a class for one specific piece of gear, as you will likely find something that is better / you will like more.

Good luck! Tell me what you decide on. (:
    Hun'

Its your game. Be a warrior if you want. That's what kind of armor you want right? You can have plenty of other experiences by creating a different character in a new game. Just enjoy the game as you want to. There's no right or wrong answer. My preference was a Mage with a sword and armor. Sure, its not common, but its my preference. Do what you want.Dragon age origins help picking class?
I liked the rouge. And you can rock Wade's Drakeskin which is pretty good armor.

Dual wield the Star metal sword with the Elf's sword you find in the Deep Roads...pick all the treasure chests and doors...disarm traps...and use cunning to persuade people to do what you want.

You get plenty of warriors to join your party...give them the heavy armor...and let your foes attack them while you sneak up behind them and stab them in the back.
hi, I think less effort required! I say. Good reaching eat all tofu.
    dragons arnt real

Do you get the same amount of experience in Dragon Age origins like other characters?

Some characters gain their own exp for killing something and I dont think they share it which is stupid. Some characters are at a higher level than I am . WHAT do I do. They are taking my exp pointsDo you get the same amount of experience in Dragon Age origins like other characters?
It would be nice to be the strongest in your party. What you can do is hold them and fight by your self . So when the enemy is like almost dead, or at least halfway, i take them on myself. Just make sure your contributing to at least 50 % of party damage and yeah i agree it IS annoying when you did everything like I did most damage to the Broodmother and suddenly Shale decides to stop fighting the tentacle and goes for MY Broodmother. I'm like "Dude, those are MY points!!!"Do you get the same amount of experience in Dragon Age origins like other characters?

Dragon age origins blight spread question?

I have finished redcliffe orzamar dalish elves and tower of magi and noticed that the blight has spread on the map alot. Does this matter in any way or is it just progression of story and if I do things quicker will it spread less. Bioware did say I think that somethings depended how long it took you to do them.Dragon age origins blight spread question?
Bioware probably wants you to treat it like it's important, because it's not. It actually takes weeks and even months to get from place to place, so don't worry about, as long as you don't progress too far in the story by doing missions and whatnot, your free to do whatever you want... and by that I mean the disputes, the civil wars, the hideouts waiting for be exploited, and whatnot. Take your time, you have as much time as you want.Dragon age origins blight spread question?

I got a free game rental that allows me to keep a game for 5 days, and am thinking about getting dragon age origins. i know theres a lot of side missons but if i skip all of them and only do the main story, about how long will it take?

thanksHow long is the main story of dragon age: origins?
To play a character through thoroughly, especially if it's your first time, will take 50 to 60 hours of gameplay. You will need to do most side quests in order to get your character powerful enough to take on the endgame.

If you enjoy the game rental - you will want to consider buying it. There are six origin stories and the runthrough is different based on your race, class, gender, and overall "attitude".

    Enjoy!!

Should I restart Dragon Age: Origins if i missed Lothering?

It depends -- how much do you like the game? If you like it enough that you think you'll play it again, keep going and save Lothering for your 2nd playthrough. If missing out is just getting on your nerves too much, or you don't think you'll do a 2nd playthrough, might as well start over.Should I restart Dragon Age: Origins if i missed Lothering?
i would load the save point.don't miss sten and liliana.Should I restart Dragon Age: Origins if i missed Lothering?
I never found Sten or Leiliana very useful, but you would miss out on what they add to the story. You can still become an Arcane Warrior, you unlock that specialization when you go in to the ruins in the Brecilian Forest. It's up to you, it's not like you need to re-do much if you go back to an earlier save.

I am in Denerim now and I am just walking around and it seems I am working on abut 20 quests at once and I find it very confusing to keep track and differentiate quest from quest. Is it just me?Does anyone else find the amount of quests in Dragon Age: Origins confusing?
It sort of depends on how early you've gone to Denerim.

Yes, if you go there early and accept every quest you're given, you can end up running around with a lot. They'll make more sense if you read the Codexes you receive as you go.

Most of the side quests via Denerim are just ways for you to earn extra money, experience, etc. The core stuff has to do with gathering your army in the locations external to Denerim.

You also don't have to accept all those quests in Denerim right away if you don't understand what you're doing or want to explore around to get your bearings first.

Why is dragon age: origins basically a fantasy-based clone of kotor?

Are the developers even trying to be innovative? Why is dragon age: origins basically a fantasy-based clone of kotor?
I think they used similar party RPG game play because it was so successful in KoTOR.Why is dragon age: origins basically a fantasy-based clone of kotor?
Instead of comparing it to KoTOR, i would say it's a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate I and II. Those games are widely praised and are much more similar to Dragon Age. And of course they're being creative, they use a completely different engine, system, skills, enemies, and story. They're completely different games. Why is dragon age: origins basically a fantasy-based clone of kotor?
Well, BioWare did make both games, so...

But Dragon Age is FAR from KOTOR. KOTOR had turn-based combat and was built around a sci-fi world that already existed. The entire Dragon Age world is a new one, and it has real-time combat. If you think that the games are still too similar, then you probably just dont like the Top-Down RPG genre, which is a large genre with a lot of games in that all look and play pretty much like KOTOR or Dragon Age

5850 is a great card, and Dragon Age has only 8x anti-aliasing, so you can get full fps if you have v-sync with full AA. My 9500 GT could pull full graphics without suffering FPS drops, and my 470 GTX, just rips through the game, figuratively.

Is dragon age origins a good game on xbox360?

i was wondering if there is any online play and how long it will take me to complete. i was also wondering if there is any levelling up kinda thing. is it good as far as RPGs go and what are some other suggestions of games like it.Is dragon age origins a good game on xbox360?
It doesnt have online play, which kinda sucks...

but its an RPG...so you always level up? Its your basic leveling too....put stats into Strength, Dexterity, Constitution...so on and so forth. Then you kind of have perks, different skills you add to your characters, usually combat based. And it takes a VERY long time to beat, so it will keep you amused for a good chunk of time. I played it, and its one of my favorite RPGs. there is so many different things to do, and you can play it over and over because its nothing like what you played the time before.

    Hope this helps!
It was all right. In my opinion id give it a 7 out of 10. The story lines pretty cool, graphics are great and the fighting is set up like world of warcraft. BUT its biggest flaw is that there arnt that many enemies to fight. Im a fan of the RPGs like Final Fantasy where you can grind out levels and get ahead of the game so you can decimate anything in your path. This one has very limited enemies and not enough fighting in general. Theres sooooo many cutscenes and talking going on that it gets boring. Just my opinion, im sure there are some people out there that loved it.Is dragon age origins a good game on xbox360?

What is the game Dragon Age: Origins like/about?

Please give me a brief explanation of what kind of game it is, what the playstyle is like, what genre it is, and as much information as you possibly can.

The person who gives me the most correct, thourough, helpful, and friendly answer will get the BA.

Thanks for the help in advance! What is the game Dragon Age: Origins like/about?
The plot of Dragon Age is extremely rich with details that unfold over dozens of hours of play. All of this is documented in your in-game codex, which tracks conversations, plot points and other elements of your journey. The general backstory revolves around the Darkspawn threat to the land of Ferelden. Darkspawn are a race of creatures born from magic users who attempted to become gods, but were cursed for their efforts. Led by the powerful Arch-demon, the beasts emerge from underground lairs every few hundred years in a swarming plague known as the Blight.

The character creation reveals more of Dragon Age's depth and flexibility. You have three separate races (human, dwarf and elf) and three base classes (warrior, rogue and mage) to choose from. Additionally, your hero will have general skills, class-specific talents and specializations, which you can learn from manuals or other characters willing to teach you their arts. By the end of the game, your hero will feel like a true legendary Grey Warden with a full complement of abilities to destroy the Darkspawn.

Dragon Age provides a ton of customization without a level cap, so it's possible to take two characters with the exact same background and develop them in completely different ways. For example, do you want a berserker that mows down enemies, a stealthy rogue that strikes from the shadows or a mage that wields the elements? These are only a few of the options you can explore as you grow your character. What is the game Dragon Age: Origins like/about?
The storyline of the game is huge and very interesting to where you got to play and watch every cutscene. There are so many different ways the game can end and endless gameplay. The game is an rpg free roam and you create you own character then go though the game making all kinds of choices. You get to have 3 followers with you and there are many to choose from, and not to mention the graphics are spectacular. What is the game Dragon Age: Origins like/about?
Hack and slash RPG game. Save the world from evil demons and dragons e.t.c and lets not forget to bone the hot females in the games. Good game, has an average review of aroudn 9.2 out of 10

What would be the best set-up for a mage in dragon age: origins?

This is for my character, not Wynne or Morrigan. I know Staff of the Magister Lord is the most powerful. But I only have a few gold to spend. As of now, as these are the ones I can buy with gold, I was thinking of getting:

Final Reason/Winter's Breath (from Warden's Peak)

    Tevinter Mage Robes

Not sure what other good gears I should get. Thanks to all those that answer. What would be the best set-up for a mage in dragon age: origins?
You definitely want to get the Tevinter Mage Robes they provide a significant bonus to spellpower and mana regeneration.

note: if you have high coercion skill you could do the following quest to net yourself some nice gold http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Precious_Metals

and for optimal mage equiptment you should probably check out

In Dragon Age Origins how can you decrease the amount of time it takes to recast a spell as a mage?

I am playing as a blood mage but every time I cast a spell it takes forever to recastIn Dragon Age Origins how can you decrease the amount of time it takes to recast a spell as a mage?
Powerful spells have long cool-down times. It's made that way so you use strategy instead of recasting powerful spells over and over. You really can't change this. Putting points in magaic and willpower will increase the amount of mana you have and the potency of the spells but this won't affect their cool-down time.

One thing you might want to do is experiment with spell combinations. Using the right ones together can produce some nice results and using lesser spells to do so means you can use them again sooner. For example, put an oil slick on the ground and hit it with fireball. This will ignite it for a short time and will inflict fire damage to anything that comes in contact with it.In Dragon Age Origins how can you decrease the amount of time it takes to recast a spell as a mage?
Spend points on Willpower and Magic when you level up...... this will make your spells recharge faster.

In dragon age origins is it possible to fight solo or do you have to have party members?

im thinking about getting the game, but from what i've seen, you have a party of 4 people. i would very much prefer to kill everything myself instead of AI killing thingsIn dragon age origins is it possible to fight solo or do you have to have party members?
Once you get to where you can choose your party whenever you venture out, you don't have to take others if you don't want.

Given you'll get attacked by groups though, you're probably not going to survive very long doing it yourself. You'll also be "interacting" with your other party members to progress in the game at times.

You do have the ability to control the tactics of the other members in your party. That would allow you to "program" them to only go after the weakest characters while you do the main ones, or only do ranged attacks, etc. And as you do control team tactics like that, it is in many ways you still fighting everything yourself based on the team tactics you set up around yourself.

But if you want a first person shooter or something, you should maybe just go find one of those instead. Coordinating multiple characters and their "AI" is a good part of the game in many ways.In dragon age origins is it possible to fight solo or do you have to have party members?
hey i just asked a question about this same game but maybe at the party slect menue you dont have to take anyone else i never tried but this game is bad *** hell i was sooooo evil in this game i made hitler look like a a pussy

Is the PC version of Dragon Age:Origins better than the 360 version?

I've been playing DA:O on 360 for a while now, and I determined its a pretty good game. On gamespot however, they gave the PC Version a 9.5 instead of the 360's 8.5. I was wondering if anyone have played both and can make an opinion on whether or not its actually better on PC or if its just Gamespots possible pro-PC bias.Is the PC version of Dragon Age:Origins better than the 360 version?
The PC version has higher resolution textures and the prop models are more detailed (like bags, crates etc), but other than there aren't significant differences in terms of graphics.

In terms of game play, the PC version has one important advantage over the 360 version, meaning the spell bar, where you can have up to 15 or 16 slots (which proves to be very useful for a mage class). Also, you can pause the game to issue orders, and zoom out for a tactical perspective of the battlefield. Overall, the PC version is inclined towards strategy during a battle, while the Xbox360 version is inclined towards the action.

The inventory management is a little more fluid too, as far as I could tell.Is the PC version of Dragon Age:Origins better than the 360 version?
I've played both , pc first, the graphics on the pc are way better, and there's things I like about it, like you can pause and make your team members do something, which you really need on hard mode, bc sometimes they just stand around, and the descriptions of things and layouts, like the 360version you don't know what the actions are (like what spell you're casting and such) bc there are no descriptions, just pictures, but the targeting on 360 is better, targeting on pc is a *****, bc you have to click on the character then click on the spell and it takes that much longer. so 360 better for that, but picking up items in pc is better. they are kinda equal in my opinion, both good an negative for both. I DO like the 360 better in the case that you can sit back anywhere and not have to worry about wires and keyboards and mouse rather than just your controller, and can lay back while playing and ****.

Unlocking the Reaver specialization in Dragon Age: Origins?

I know defiling the urn causes Wynne to leave and perhaps Leliana too, but is it possible to complete the quest BEFORE having met either of them / taking them as companions? What happens then?Unlocking the Reaver specialization in Dragon Age: Origins?
No, if you don't get Leliana before you complete one of the main quest zones (example: defending Redcliff from the zombies), Lothering is over run and Leliana is killed. You can skip past Wynne though.

A better course of action uses the fact that once you unlock a Specialization, it remains unlocked for you no matter if you've earned it this time around. Save before you make the choice to help the cult, then accept his offer. Then go all the way through and defile the urn, and get the specialization. Now reload the save from before you accepted the offer, and you will still have the Reaver specialization unlocked.

  • What did you think of the game Dragon Age: Origins?

I wanted to buy this game for my Ps3 and I wanted to know what you thought of it. Is it bad and I shouldn't but it or good? What did you think of the game Dragon Age: Origins?
I really enjoyed it. It's not for everyone, but I really recommend that you give it a try. It starts out really slow though, but it gets really good after Ostagar.

Story isn't anything incredible, but I really like its presentation. The characters are ok. The game is very immersive in my opinion, however the gameplay is sort of like watching your characters fight instead of actually fighting. But it's strategy and "numbers" (as in stats) oriented. You still control your characters, but not as much as you would in an action game.

KOTOR's gameplay is very similar, and KOTOR bored me a lot. Even though this game has similar gameplay, it does enough of the other things really well that the game ends up being really fun for me.

If you like rpgs, this will be good. If you don't like rpgs or if the only rpgs you like are action rpgs, then you may not like it.

And it's trash someone said? I assume they just heard it from their friends without looking up the actual general reception for it.

Last time I played this I entered into the fade myself. I can't figure out how to get one of them to help Connor! How do I get the mages to help me solve Connor's problem in Dragon Age: Origins?
Well when you do the quest to save the Circle of Magi, you have to make sure you spare the lives of most of the Mages during the battle with Uldred (by using the litany of Andralla when he tries to turn them into abominations). And then, when you're done speaking to Knight-Commander Greagoir, speak to the First Enchanter Irving where you should get the option to request for help with Connor.

Good luck (:How do I get the mages to help me solve Connor's problem in Dragon Age: Origins?

Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands?

They both look really good and have gotten good reviews. The problem is that I only have enough money 4 one of the games. Which should I get, why?Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands?
i have both and i really like both. But if you are into the stories of games definitely dragon age it basically brought me to tears and it is a dark-fantasy medieval style game. but if you are looking for a fun shooter game that you can play with friends then get Borderlands and that is apost apocalyptic world. I prefer Dragon Age but it determines what you are into.
I have only played Borderlands, which is amazing. Although, Dragon Age: Origins does look pretty awsome. I would have to say Borderlands though. The reason why is primarily because Borderlands has online multiplayer. Dragon Age: Origins is only single player so you can't play cooperatively with friends or online. But you can in Borderlands, which is a ton of fun. I also like Borderlands a lot better because of the shooting aspect. They're both extremely popular games and you'll get mixed opinions from all sorts of people. Bottom line, it comes down to what your looking for in a game. If you want to be able to play online or multiplayer, and like shooters, definitely go with Borderlands. If your more into hack and slash type games with magic and medieval type themes, go with Dragon Age: Origins. You'll be happy no matter which one you choose, because they're both amazing games.Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands?
Having not played either, and reading a few reviews as well as questions like this and their various answers.... I would have to say Dragon Age Origins. I have heard that there are issues with MP for Borderlands on PC, and in addition if you don't play with people you trust they can play with you and grab the good items and take off leaving you high and dry. Both got pretty good reviews, but Dragon Age Origins got better reviews. Also this is from a PC player, I've heard DAO was a pretty bad port for the consoles.
Dragon age origins for sure. check out the review of dragon age origins in ign and see why http://pc.ign.com/articles/104/1041792p1.htmlShould I get Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands?

I cant beat the ArchDemon(Dragon) at the end of Dragon Age:Origins!!! How have you done it?

Ive made it this far but I cant seem to beat this sucker. Does anyone know of any methods or strategies to use? Im almost to the point of looking for cheat codes!I cant beat the ArchDemon(Dragon) at the end of Dragon Age:Origins!!! How have you done it?
What I did is kept EVERYONE on my team away from the dragon. Although none of my characters were specialized in archery, I made them all equip bows (except Morrigan of course) and attack from the distance. For some reason my characters were really stupid and kept switching back to swords and ran right at the damn thing but I just kept pausing and switching them back.

It's important that even while attacking from distance, you set your characters far apart from each other. Let the blue NPCs run at the dragon and distract it away from your characters. Personally, the only attack I ever suffered from the archdemon was his blue/purple flame that he spat out and that wasn't so bad. Morrigan having heal definitely helps, but if she doesn't for you then no problem, just use health pots.

Hope it works out for you.I cant beat the ArchDemon(Dragon) at the end of Dragon Age:Origins!!! How have you done it?
Hammer at him with all your best accumulated skills, and make sure the party you picked have skills that complement one another and don't overlap too much. When he flies away and starts summoning Darkspawn, get to the catapults and keep hammering. Keep your party at a distance, and hammer down at him until he's dead. After about five minutes of continuous attacks, if he isn't dead, approach him to trigger the final cutscene.

It could be a glitch, but it's the easiest way I know of to defeat him.

Is there anyway to reset skills and stats in dragon age origins?

If you are on the PC, there is a mod that allows you to reset your points and assign them again.

If you are not, then the only object I know of is in the Awakenings expansion, and it does the same. The problem is, you don't access Awakenings until you have finished the main storyline.

  • What is the best armour in dragon age origins?

i tried finding armour i got lots of good stuff but i want 2 know which is the best.. (i havent got all)What is the best armour in dragon age origins?
The best armor I have, the one that bests even the Blood Dragon Armor, is the second Dragon Bone Armour you can have made in Denerim. This armor is stronger than the Blood Dragon Armor, and there is a matching helmet if you can find it... The helmet does not come with the armor. You can get the armor by killing enough dragons, plus the cult's dragon on the Frostback Mountain. You can summon the cult's dragon by taking a horn off the dead leader's body. What is the best armour in dragon age origins?
The best that I have seen is the Blood Dragon Plate armor (a pre-order or first release version only), and the Dragon Bone Plate armor (available under the mission where you get a set of Dragon Scales from the High Dragon during the Sacred Urn quest). Both are massive armors requiring plenty of strength to use them, but they make the user into quite a tank.

Edit: Ah yes, Chuck is right, the Juggernaut armor is another massive armor that makes the user quite tough. The bonus abilities on all three are the key differences. What is the best armour in dragon age origins?
The set of armor you get in the wood and the elven temple is pretty bad *** too.

The one from disturbing the gravestones and doing the altar jug of water thing.
If you are a rouge, Felon's Coat from Wade in Denerim or Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor (medium) are good choices.

A question about removing a party member from the group in Dragon Age Origins?

I'm getting rid of the war dog to take up Sten (with Morrigan and Alistair). Once you dismiss a character though can you get them back later ? or are they gone for good?A question about removing a party member from the group in Dragon Age Origins?
They are never gone for good, once you get to the party camp you can pick any member of the team you want to come with you when you venture out into the world. Dont worry they are never really "gone" unless you ask them to leave for good in the camp.A question about removing a party member from the group in Dragon Age Origins?
They're not gone. They just go to camp, where you can still choose them for later parties.

The only way you lose characters is if you directly tell them to leave in camp, or if you lose approval and upset one of them so much they decide to leave.

What happens when you die in dragon age origins?

i died while doing some quest and i was in a group so when i died i took control of them so i said that **** that and loaded my old save so what happens when you die do you stay dead or do you come back and if you do come back how than? What happens when you die in dragon age origins?
If you die and your party survives the battle, then you will come back to life. This is true of your other party members as well. So if you die, just use the rest of your party to finish up the fight. You will have an injury though and either need to go back to your camp or use an injury kit to heal yourself.

Dragon Age Origins on PC or Xbox 360? Advantages and disadvantages?

Hi Im getting dragon age origins game when it comes out because I love the look of it and really cant wait. But im torn between getting on PC or 360. I have a really nice PC that can easily run it, and a 42 inch HD LCD for my 360 to play on. What are your thoughts?Dragon Age Origins on PC or Xbox 360? Advantages and disadvantages?
I'm going to play it on my PC because my rig and monitor %26gt; my PS3

Anyway, I guess it also comes down to gameplay too. It looks like it is going to be a real time party based game, so I would want to issue commands quickly and smoothly and I am just much more nimble with the mouse and keyboard. Yeah there's pause and such but I can't stand using the analog stick as a mouse cursor.

Is Dragon Age Origins worth finishing?

I've been playing Origins on the 360 and so far I haven't been enjoying it very much. Most of it is the combat. I don't really care for the tactical style, but i love upfront action like in Mass Effect (yes i realize that there is no shooting in DAO or DA2). I downloaded the demo for Dragon Age 2 and loved it. So should i finish playing Origins before starting 2? It seems logical but they're different stories. Is Dragon Age Origins worth finishing?
The combat is a chore in Origins, DA2 is vast improvement. But, the game is still worth finishing. The story and the characters are great and it will set up DA2 for you. If you want to speed things up skip some of the side quests and stick to the main plot. You can also play on easy and turn your brain off.Is Dragon Age Origins worth finishing?
DAO is amazing once you get used to the combat. But really not much transfers over to DA 2 when you import it. I heard mostly stuff from Awakening transfers more but I never played Awakening. I would just finish it anyways because the story is just epic and very satisfying! Is Dragon Age Origins worth finishing?
I tend to think every game is worth finishing. Give it a chance so that in future it will b on your list of achievements. Furthermore getting a game and not finishing it is like wasting the game. Finish it before you continue in the series, its more logical that way =)
It's not necessary but it is highly recommended. Thataway you feel like you are responsible for what happened.

Why won't my duplicated Tomes work for Dragon Age Origins?

I used the duplication trick and got 99 tomes of archane to use for a mage (Morrigan) but they won't work? Why is this happening? Why won't my duplicated Tomes work for Dragon Age Origins?
If you have any of the other tome for the warriors/rouges in you pack, get rid of them (move them to the junk section for a short time, or sell them for a short time to a shopkeeper), the books don't work correctly most of the time when you have the other one in the same part of your pack.

Also, watch out on using any large number of those books on any one character, if you max out the skills of a person you won't be able to level that person up at all anymore. A much better plan to really boost the attributes is to find the Tombs of the Mortal Vessel instead. Those boost the attributes without any skill points, so you can't run into the problem I mentioned just above.

Edit: Well, I've always have got that problem. If I've got the tome for warriors/rouges in the same part as the tomes for mages, I can't get either of them to work till I separate them. And I wasn't saying his problem was using too many, I was merely giving a big warning that can kind of break a portion of the game with using such a trick with those books. Why won't my duplicated Tomes work for Dragon Age Origins?
You can't use them in camp I noticed. You have to have her in your party. That's probably your problem. I tried to use them in camp, I mean why shouldn't you be able to use tomes on other party members in camp? But you can't.

Edit: "If you have any of the other tomb for the warriors/rouges in you pack, get rid of them (move them to the junk section for a short time, or sell them for a short time to a shopkeeper), the books don't work correctly most of the time when you have the other one in the same part of your pack."

I've NEVER had that problem before. And I did the same thing as the asker did and had several different types of books in my inventory at a time. Also, it doesn't sound as if his problem is the fact that he used too many of them because he said he can't get them to work at all. Therefore, I think it's the problem I addressed.

Edit Edit: Hm. Maybe it's a 360 thing? I'm on ps3 and like i said haven't run into that problem. And oh sorry.

Metroid Prime Trilogy or Dragon Age Origins?

Two completely different games I know, but I'm looking for something to really sink my teeth into. I never played the Metroid games, being able to get all of them together is really appealing. Dragon Age looks amazing too, so I can't really decide.

Which one and why?Metroid Prime Trilogy or Dragon Age Origins?
Id say Dragon Age but I am biased as my husband works for BioWare...but I have about 10 hours of play into Dragon Age right now, and I love it. The story line is awesome and their are so many different ways to go about it therefore, no person will play the same game, and if you finish it, you can always go start again, and you can play a different game by chosing different choices than what you did before.Metroid Prime Trilogy or Dragon Age Origins?
Metroid. It was an epic side scroller, and it only got better. The storyline is incredible, the depth is awesome, and the weapons system is so much fun!

It is a really good game with many different options and stories. The game has good graphics and is probably a better overall game than Oblivion.

I am getting Dragon Age: Origins tomorrow.I am wondering which of the classes i should choose along with race?

Right now I am leaning towards the warrior, human noble class so i can have the Mabari Blood Hound for the whole game.I am getting Dragon Age: Origins tomorrow.I am wondering which of the classes i should choose along with race?
I agree with you. That is the class I would choose.I am getting Dragon Age: Origins tomorrow.I am wondering which of the classes i should choose along with race?
First any race and class can get a Mabari, true the humans start off with it but before you truly start the game all races have the option.

Secondly for your first play through I would suggest playing as a warrior, be a dual wielding warrior and the game will be easy. After you gain a bit of experience and unlocked 'Arcane Warrior' class be a mage it's bad ***

Whats good and bad about Dragon age Origins?

I was just wondering what some good qualities and bad qualities of this game are.Whats good and bad about Dragon age Origins?
the game inter face is a little hard to get use to but once the game picks up it is great. the Game has lots of side quest and lots of flexibly in making your character. the biggest con is it eats hours of you life

How long ( in hours) is the main story in Dragon Age: Origins? What about Mass Effect?

I'm planing on getting them but I dont wanna spend a lot of money on a friggin 10 hour game with no multiplayer -cough- Alan Wake -cough-, so i just wanted to know. How long ( in hours) is the main story in Dragon Age: Origins? What about Mass Effect?
I've never played Dragon Age, I managed to get 35 hours out of Mass Effect 1 and 43 hours out of Mass Effect 2. I'm playing it all over again as a bad guy instead of a good guy, which will change up the story. Then I'm going to play it a third time as a chick and that will change it up even more. So you will get about 75 hours If you play both games of Mass Effect in a row. And 225 hours if you play it three times though. Also look into Fallout 3. Managed to get 250 hours of of that in one play through. Thing is about Fallout 3 is that it has choice. You be good or evil, and it will have large effects on the game play. For example, There's a city that has a nuke in it. You can choose to save the town, or rig the bomb to explode killing everybody. You could also get Oblivion. Got about 125 hours out of that game completing everything. So If you want a long game with an ok story get Fallout 3. If you want a shorter game with an amazing freaking story that completely changes the game depending on what you choose go with Mass Effect. Also the choices you make in the first game will carry into the second game, and the choices you make in the first and second game will carry into the third game which will have multiple ending depending on the choices you made in the first and second game. How long ( in hours) is the main story in Dragon Age: Origins? What about Mass Effect?
Dragon Age Origins is a pretty long game, even longer with Awakening. I personally played it twice, just because the story was long and interesting with many story-altering decisions.

I've personally gotten about 200+ hours from it. Also, Ive played the games Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, both are exceptional games with a strong, long, and immersive story. You can also wait for another month and get Fallout New Vegas. All of these games are well worth the money and have plenty of expansions added to them a while after their release.

From IGN: "The plot of Dragon Age is extremely rich with details that unfold over dozens of hours of play."How long ( in hours) is the main story in Dragon Age: Origins? What about Mass Effect?
Dragon age is 40+ hours long. It depends on how much time you put in to doing side quests, talking to NPCs, and your party. It can easily take you 60 hours or more if you are thorough. There's also a lot of replayability because you can make so many different choices in the game and there are six different starting origins. I've played through about 3 times now and discover new things each time.

I have never played mass effect, I do know it is shorter than dragon age because it has more cinematics.

I think you just have to disturb the tombstone in that area. It should be off to the right in that clearing, behind some pillars and brush if you are coming from the mad hermit path.

I'm not sure you have to do the maleficars things for that quest.

What is the combat of dragon age origins like ?

    The gameplay and combat.

Detail would be appreciated! Thank you xDWhat is the combat of dragon age origins like ?
The combat is a combination of the real-time and micromanagement. You can fight the enemies like a you would on a normal game

    or,

you can try a more tactical approach by pausing the action. You may press the spacebar to pause the game, and micromanage the characters and the next attach theyre gonna do

the gameplay is the same as other rpgs. you travel, but with more freedom. you can go whereever you like, and make the story progress from different directions.

Some say its boring. If youre the tactical type who enjoys micromanagement like Civilization, then its fun. What is the combat of dragon age origins like ?
You pause, move your party in to position, give orders, and then repeat until you win. It felt a bit more like a strategy game at times. That's not necessarily a bad thing for fights that require some thinking to win. But combat became super tedious against the low level mobs the game throws at you over and over. Your gear and build are also pretty important, if you aren't familiar with RPGs you might want to look up some guides. What is the combat of dragon age origins like ?
the first game is fairly boring you walk up and click on the enemy you wish to attack, you do not do anything other than select abilities you wish to use(similar to popular mmo's, or kotor 1 or 2), the second game however features real time combat
For PC it's more like a strategie game where you can zoom in and out for 360 it's more like the old game KOTOR.

Will dragon age origins run on my computer?

I have downloaded the character creator, and that seems to run fine, i have a 2.4qhz quad core processor, 3 GB of ram, and ample HDD space, the problem i foresee is that my petty nvidia 7050/610i GPU cannot take it. If i can run the creator, can i run the full game ???Will dragon age origins run on my computer?
Minimum requirements call for a 6600 equivalent card. Recommended card is the 8800 gts. I run it with a 8800 gtx on high (but not very high) settings with 4gigs ram and dual core. Personally, I wouldn't bother trying since arguably the best part of the game is the graphics. Otherwise, it's a LOT like playing Baldur's Gate 2. See? Not worth it.

You can get a decent video card for ~$100 these days. My advice is to find even a used card off craigslist so you can run these games.

*10points*Dragon age origins question can you find morrigan after you kill the arch demon?

I just killed the arch demon- where can i find here and how do i get to the location of where she is at? \10pts best answers*10points*Dragon age origins question can you find morrigan after you kill the arch demon?
If you chose the answer, when King Alistair/Queen Anora asks you want you plan to do now, about searching for Morrigan then it's hinted in the Epilogue that Morrigan was last spotted near Frostback Mountain and was heading to Orlais.

In Awakening, if your character was in love with her, then it's also hinted again in the Epilogue the Warden went to search for Morrigan but it is unknown if he ever found her or not. All they know is the Warden never returned to Vigil's Keep.

As for actually finding her no you can't. You can choose to search for her in conversation choices but can't actually track her down.*10points*Dragon age origins question can you find morrigan after you kill the arch demon?
Well if you took the route where she will save you from the arch demon for a child, then you can never see her again. And if i am not mistaken, after you defeat the demon shouldn't the game say something about you starting from a period in time before you killed the arch demon so she should still be in you party. If shes is not then i am afraid that you might of lost her.

Either way it is a great game and im sure it is fun either way.

Good Luck`*10points*Dragon age origins question can you find morrigan after you kill the arch demon?
You cannot, for now. There is a scene at the end revealing she has a child is not found for awhile. Although developers have confirmed this is not the last time we see Morrigan, so we might see her again in a sequel. Unless of course they just mean't we would see her in the new DA darkspawn game or whatever.

Why does my Dragon Age Origins game keep randomly minimising, or restoring down without me pressing anything?

Occasionally the game freezes, and I have to shut down by pulling the battery out.

I don't have AVG installed or any virus guard, but I'm thinking of installing Avast.

I've already tried re-starting and playing for a bit.

    Thanks, Thisara

:)Why does my Dragon Age Origins game keep randomly minimising, or restoring down without me pressing anything?
Any kind of pop up that forces itself into the foreground tasks of your system will cause this to happen. I had it happen for a number of things that I had to beat into submission to stop the behavior. Another way to stop it is to play in windowed mode.

The pop up still happens, but it doesn't disrupt your play.

Look through the programs you have running in memory (start by checking the system tray) and either stop them, or configure them to quit with the pop up notifications.

And... please... Install an anti-virus product. Avast is a good choice. Why does my Dragon Age Origins game keep randomly minimising, or restoring down without me pressing anything?
It could be a few things:

-You could be pressing the windows key by accident.

-There are some background applications running that interfere with the game (so I would suggest closing all applications you aren't using.)

-Or, it could be something to do with mods. Every so often, you install a mod that doesn't work or isn't compatible with other mods... which will cause your game to freeze. Try uninstalling your mods and try to find out which one is causing the problem. (If you installed it with the DAUpdater, I'd recommend downloading DA Mod manager so you can fully uninstall them: http://dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file鈥?/a> . If you used override files, then just remove them.)

Good luck (:Why does my Dragon Age Origins game keep randomly minimising, or restoring down without me pressing anything?

The tactics slots have been helping, but there's never enough of them, especially for mages I can never keep track of all their spells turning them off and on and all that. What do you do to manage your party?Dragon Age: Origins, ways to manage your party in combat?
Try pausing the game, giving orders, and then pausing again after to execute the next attack. It will be tedious at first but eventually you will figure out what strategies work for you and not need to stop as much. I only ever use tactics to make sure my party is healing themselves. Otherwise I don't bother with them because they rarely work the way they are supposed to.

You can do it with the console. But there's a couple file modifications you have to make

Make a shortcut to your desktop of "daorigins.exe" (Dragon Age/bin_ship/daorigins.exe) go to shortcut properties, and under Target add -enabledeveloperconsole (after ..daorigins.exe" )

This can be done on the Steam version by right clicking on the game in your Games List, choosing Properties, and clicking Set Launch Options. This allows you to enter command line option.

Then go into the keybindings.ini file located in "My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\" Find the line "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X" (GRAVE is default, change X to any button that is not already used in the game.)

Keep in mind the text doesn't show up on the console, but it's still there when you press the "~" button

in game type in runscript selectparty and the party selection screen will open.

I did sword and shield for my first character, you still do a lot of damage while also having shield bashing stunning abilities. two handed seemed like you had so little defense so it would only be recommended for experienced players. so go with sword and shield its really good for offensive and keeps you alive longer (your team mates will die a lot)Which method of sword handling should I use for Dragon Age Origins: sword and shield or two handed?
sword and shield the one handed swords do a decent amount of damage and the shield is great for defense Pulse two handed warriors have a lower Chance to hit typically

Dragon Age Origins question, why were the Elves enslaved but not the Dwarfs?

I understand that humans have enslaved many of their own kind before in history, and probably would others if there were on this planet, but what I want to know is... why did they enslave the elves and not the dwarfs? Also, the Qunari weren't enslaved either, but I suspect they were too strong, but why the elves though? Aren't they strong as well? Were they too weak to defend themselves? Also, does anybody have the history behind it?Dragon Age Origins question, why were the Elves enslaved but not the Dwarfs?
Dwarves are mostly isolationist and kept to themselves in the Deep Roads and their underground thaigs for the most part except for those few who left to become merchants, and humans had no interest in going there or controlling it. I don't have a detailed history on hand, but if you talk to people, read... codex entries, whatever they were called, you get a lot of this history over the course of the game.Dragon Age Origins question, why were the Elves enslaved but not the Dwarfs?
The Dwarves were too short to catch and they just hid in the caves. After a while the humans could not be bothered and went for the lanky Elves.Dragon Age Origins question, why were the Elves enslaved but not the Dwarfs?

Can you have a relationship with both Morrigan and Leliana in Dragon Age Origins?

Will starting a relationship with one and then the other effect the game or how they react to you?I have already started a relationship with Leliana and gotten the love scene in the tent and was wondering if doing the same with Morrigan would effect the game or the number of friendship points. Can you have a relationship with both Morrigan and Leliana in Dragon Age Origins?
You can have both of them at the same time. But, eventually once your approval is high enough one will approach you and tell you to choose between them. This is true of all of the romance options. I'm pretty sure that if you break up with one, you can get back together eventually.

You can be a real ho-bag in this game, it's part of the fun :)

Whats the best class to be in dragon age origins?

i would like some of your opinions of the best best class to be in dragon age origins. and also what background and talents/ abilities they have.Whats the best class to be in dragon age origins?
    I prefer rogue-Duelist or mage-Arcane Warrior.

Rogue is a damage dealing pro, and using the dual weapon skill tree becomes the most dangerous thing in battle, especially if you unlock the Duelist and Assassin specializations. As a rogue, I follow the tank around and attack whatever he is distracting, or anyone who goes after the mages. At higher levels, go right after elite/boss enemies and tear them apart while the tank keeps all the other enemies off your back. Put all your attribute points into Cunning since the Duelist gets to use Cunning to determine damage. Only use enough points in strength to get into good leather armor, and use a decent pair of weapons.

Mage, with the Arcane Warrior specialization is the best of warrior and mage combined. You get to use your magic skill to satisfy the strength requirement of armor and weapons and can still cast spells. Use Spirit Healer as the second spec to be a good backup healer to Wynne. At the top of the Arcane specialization, this is a very hard to kill character that's fun to play. Put all your attribute points into Magic until towards the end of the game when you put a few into Willpower. Wear less armor than the tank until higher levels.
I like human mage because you can just do the one sub class thing forgot what it is but it basically makes you a hand to hand fighter which is Bad *** cause you can still throw fire balls

But than again i like being a rouge and just being a archer using warriors as defenseWhats the best class to be in dragon age origins?
i personally like the Rogue (you can become a Bard!)

Is there dual-wielding in Dragon Age Origins and Fable II?

I want to buy one of them but I want to know if you can dual-wield swords in them. I really like RPGs and I want to know if I can use 2 swords. Which one I buy will depend on the answer or if they both have dual-wielding then please tell me which one I should buy. Thanks. Is there dual-wielding in Dragon Age Origins and Fable II?
Umm... I don't know about Fable II, but I do know that it got poor ratings.

In Dragon Age: Origins you can dual-wield. And it's one of the best RPG's of the year. :)Is there dual-wielding in Dragon Age Origins and Fable II?
you can dual wield in dragonage, with most 1 handed weapons, which can be improved when leveling. not pplayed fable 2, though i dont remember that you could in fable 1Is there dual-wielding in Dragon Age Origins and Fable II?
In Dragon Age you can as a warrior or rogue and in Fable 2 I think there is but I haven't played it long enough to say for sure.

  • My copy of Dragon Age Origins keeps crashing, does anyone know any mods I could get to fix this problem?

If there are any mods please let me know where to get them and how to install them.My copy of Dragon Age Origins keeps crashing, does anyone know any mods I could get to fix this problem?
You want to fix a symptom without knowing the disease. If you posted your system specs we could determine whether or not you meet the system requirements or if you simply need a driver upgrade. You didn't post anything that could help.

If you hardware is insufficient then there is no mod to fix that. Oblivion did have Oldblivion for players with the wrong DirectX version, but Dragon Age doesn't have a similar mod.

Which method of sword handling should I use for Dragon Age Origins: sword and shield or two handed?

My character will be a warrior. I plan to have my character's strength as the highest attribute. I also plan to give my character the best armor and weapons as well. I want to give my character massive armor sets. I want to be able to do a good amount of damage, but also a good amount of defense as well. Which type of sword handling should I choose: sword and shield or two handed?Which method of sword handling should I use for Dragon Age Origins: sword and shield or two handed?
In my estimation, you should have at least 1 meatshield tank in your party. Because of the vast amount of enemies they pit against you (often times ranged/bowers), you'll need someone absorbing all those arrows. If you have Allistar as your main tank, he can be that meat shield and you can be a 2 handed weapon guy. Otherwise, if you do not have Allistar in your party, I would say to go the sword+shield route. You only need 1 main tank. So take your pick. It is actually disadvantageous to have 2 sword+shielders in your party cause they simply can't dish out much damage. But if all you have is damage dealing 2-hand weapon people (like Sten) as your tanks...you're doomed to failure. So, as a final analysis:

    (1) Have Allistar as your sword+ shielder and YOU be the 2-handed warrior or...

    (2) Have Sten (or another NPC) as your 2-hand warrior and YOU be the sword+shield warrior.

The choice is pretty much yours and this game allows having all these NPCs in your party to give you the choice. Sword+shielders are good meatshields, can dish out decent damage, but if you want a damage dealing tank you will take 2-hander (at the expense of the defense a shield gives). You should have at least 1 main tank with a shield, but the choice is yours.Which method of sword handling should I use for Dragon Age Origins: sword and shield or two handed?
Just use sword/sheild and get the talent tree stuff for it lol

Two handed swords are slow and just annoying to use.

How to reduce the lagg in dragon age origins for ps3?

If a mage in my party or a enemy mage cast a spell i start lagging, also if i level up and when more than 3 enemy appear. i already erase alot of stuff, and i lower it to 480 and didnt make any difference. How to reduce the lagg in dragon age origins for ps3?
Lowering it to 480 is not going to make a difference. It doesn't work like it does on the PC when you lower graphical settings. The problem is the game takes up tons of space on the PS3 and gives that thing quite a workout. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent this.
