I just finished my origins story as a noble human. Now I am at the king's place with Duncan. I dunno, it just hasn't really drawn me in or anything so far... In fact it's been kind of boring. So my question is, how long does it take to "get into it"?
I am a big fan of Bioware, my favorite game of all time is Knights of the Old Republic, and I love the Mass Effect games. How long does it take to get into Dragon Age Origins?
To tell you the truth, I was uninterested w/ DA:O up to exactly where you were as well. Without spoilers, the story takes a turn pretty soon which was enough to spark my interest to continue playing for a little while longer.
To me the biggest enjoyment of this game was how you can develop your relations with your party members. They all have a unique personality that you're gonna love or hate. Either way, this game will draw you in the longer you play so keep at it!
PS. If you have the DLC Stone Prisoner, you owe it to yourself to at least play through that first. Many people love the character you find there. How long does it take to get into Dragon Age Origins?
It takes a little while. Recruiting all of the races is the main part of the story and will get you a little involved in the game but the sidequests are what really got me interested. Give it a couple more hours of gameplay before you decide. How long does it take to get into Dragon Age Origins?
When I hit Lothering, things started to warm up. By the time I reached Redcliff, I really wanted to know how this thing was going to turn out.
I replayed it perhaps five or so times since then. After I play DA2, I'll probably re-play DAO again.
